Plan Heal announces its acceptance into the Microsoft for Startups program.
Microsoft for Startups is a highly-selective program for innovative technology companies that are poised to make a meaningful impact in the global market. Plan Heal was chosen due to our team’s commitment to help people access quality health information for better health outcomes.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), large populations of people across the globe do not know they have costly and quality-of-life diminishing diseases such as Hepatitis C, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Kidney Disease, and Heart Failure, amongst others. Plan Heal Smart Health Assessment is an innovative technology that provides ongoing health information that can be used by the patient, care provider, and payor to increase care efficiency, decrease hospital readmissions, and lower the cost of care.
“We are pleased to be identified as a promising startup to help combat this growing health issue. This is a huge milestone for the Plan Heal team,” said Tammy McMiller, Co-Founder and CEO, Plan Heal. “We’ve founded a company and articulated a compelling story to garner the support and belief in the Plan Heal mission from Microsoft, a global leader in artificial intelligence and machine learning technology and data security, three core capabilities we leverage to best serve patients, care providers, and payors. We look forward to optimizing our innovative ideas with an industry leader like Microsoft.”
